Student expeditions

National Geographic

From glacier trekking in Alaska to navigating the waterways of the Okavango Delta, this gallery captures the energy and curiosity of young explorers discovering the natural world. As an expedition leader and mentor, I guided students through storytelling and composition as they developed their own photo essays. By photographing wildlife alongside Boone Smith and learning visual narrative from Brent Stirton, each student found their voice through the lens. These images document both the awe of new, wild places and the transformative power of experiencing conservation firsthand. The result: young people gaining not just technical skills, but a deeper connection to the planet.
